What Kind of Reptile Am I Wrestling?

If you have ever wrestled reptiles for sport, you may have asked yourself, “Is this a crocodile or an alligator currently chewing my arm off?”  Or, perhaps, your daughter just wants to know the difference between the two.  You and your stump of an arm can tell her this at dinner tonight:

Alligators are darker colored, have shorter rounded snouts and typically live in freshwater habitats.  Crocodiles usually live in saltwater areas, have longer V-shaped snouts, and have a lower tooth that sticks out when the jaw is closed.  Source: San Diego Zoo

Oh, and they can both chew your arm off.
