What are the Aughts?

00Now that this decade is already on its way out, being asked not to let the door hit it in the rear, you should know what that goofy word is that people have been using to describe it.  While there is no such thing as an official name for a decade, most people have settled on the “aughts” to describe the period from 2000 – 2009.
