A silencer put to the loud SunChips bag

In case you haven’t “heard,” over the past year and a half, Frito-Lay unveiled a new SunChips bag which, when opened, touched, or glanced at, seemed to be louder than a helicopter landing on your roof.  The noise is due to its compostable qualities, and deaf people everywhere were comforted by the fact that their empty snack bags were biodegradable, keeping the earth fresh and clean.  People with the ability to hear, however, were as enamored.  It became the most talked about bag of chips in recent memory, sales declined, and it’s today’s Dinner Topic because Frito-Lay just announced that the bag is being discontinued.

The company listened to customer feedback, and despite the decibels, it was crystal clear that consumers prefer snacking in moderate volume over loud environmental snacking.  Grab yourself a bag before they’re off the shelves for good and share the noise love at your next dinner.
