Netherlands beats Uruguay 3-2, and now for a geography lesson

The World Cup is in its final week and the Netherlands advanced to the World Cup final, defeating Uruguay 3-2 today. The Netherlands will meet the winner of Germany and Spain, but before you sound your vuvuzela off about your World Cup knowledge, you might want to learn where the countries are located.

Netherlands

Uruguay

The Netherlands is in northwest Europe, between Belgium and Germany.  Amsterdam is the capital and the city you are probably most familiar with (for one reason or another).  The people are referred to as Dutch.

Uruguay is located in southeast South America.  It borders Brazil and a portion of Argentina and sits on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.

Regardless of who wins tomorrow’s match, it will be an all-Europe final on Sunday.
