KFC. Potholes. Best Idea Ever.

colonel sandersKFC and potholes are two things you wouldn’t expect to see in the same sentence, but the chicken giant is attempting a brilliant marketing campaign that gives KFC exposure and helps drivers as well.

Currently, KFC (yes, KFC) hired a road crew to fix potholes in Louisville, Kentucky.  Their reward?  They get to stencil a KFC ad on top of the pothole (“Re-Freshed by KFC”).  Our reward?  No more broken axles.  The ad is in street chalk so it will eventually fade away, leaving us with a smoother, ad-free street in the long run.  It’s a win-win for everyone.

KFC will be choosing four more cities for which to distribute their goodwill in the future, assuming the mayors are accepting of the pothole assistance.  If your city is chosen and your mayor says “thanks, but no thanks,” please voice your displeasure.
