OPEC Does What Now?

Most people have heard of OPEC, and many know that it stands for the Organization for Petroleum Exporting Countries, but what does an organization like that actually do when a meeting with tea and crackers occurs?
Basically, they meet to ensure that the 13 countries involved are on the same page when it comes to supplying the consumer with oil and creating a stable market for oil worldwide. The 13 countries comprising OPEC are: Algeria, Angola, Ecuador, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela.
