The Ubiquitous Rachael Ray
If you have a normal 9-to-5 job, you still have heard the name Rachael Ray a million times but might not be familiar with her claim to fame. In short, she is like the next generation’s happy, cheery version of Martha Stewart. Most of Ray’s success originates from food, whether it be specials on the Food Network or cookbook sales. Like Stewart, Ray took one success and parlayed it into much more. No longer just a woman dishing out cooking tips on TV, Ray now has her own syndicated daytime talk show, a magazine, a website, and she stills pops up on the Food Network on a daily basis with shows like “30 Minute Meals” and “Rachael’s Vacation.”
Also like Martha Stewart, Ray seems to have a love or hate relationship with the public. Based on her success, many people obviously like her, but there are quite a few Ray haters who find her constant giddiness a little hard to take.
