Stimulus In Your Paycheck

If your paycheck is a little heftier in the near future, it may be the result of a stimulus bonus.  Rather than the stimulus checks President Bush paid out which simply showed up at your door in the form of a check, President Obama’s stimulus bonus will be paid to many in the form of a reduction in taxes withheld from your paycheck.  Wondering if you are eligible?

“The credit is available to those with earned income. It’s worth up to $400 a year for single filers and $800 for joint filers.

The full credit will be paid to people with modified adjusted gross incomes of $75,000 or less ($150,000 per couple). A partial credit would be paid to those making above those amounts but no more than $95,000 ($190,000 for couples).” 1

As always with the government, it’s not always as simple as that, so read the link below for more information.  Also remember that none of this money comes from the sky, so you’ll eventually be paying it back one way or another.
